Abah Anton Charliyan Pledges Full Support for West Java Police Chief Insp. Gen. Pipit Rismanto, Calls on Public to Back "Safeguard and Preserve Exceptional West Java" Program

Bandung, iNet99.id – Chairman of the West Java Sundanese Traditional Council (MASDA), Anton Charliyan, has expressed his full support for the newly appointed West Java Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Dr. Pipit Rismanto, along with all strategic programs introduced under his leadership.
Abah Anton made the statement while accompanying the West Java Police Chief during the Bhabinkamtibmas Roll Call held at the West Java Regional Police Headquarters on Friday (July 17, 2026). The event also marked Insp. Gen. Pipit Rismanto's first official introduction to various community leaders and stakeholders across West Java.
In his address, the West Java Police Chief reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening police services by enhancing the role of Bhabinkamtibmas officers as the National Police's frontline representatives within local communities.
He noted that West Java, as Indonesia's most populous province, possesses highly dynamic social conditions. Serving as a buffer region for the national capital while functioning as a center for education, industry, investment, tourism, and culinary development, the province requires strong collaboration among all sectors of society to maintain public security and social order.
Insp. Gen. Dr. Pipit Rismanto introduced the "Together to Safeguard and Preserve Exceptional West Java" initiative, which is implemented through nine Commander Wishes and guided by four core principles: Adaptive, Responsive, Collaborative, and Solution-Oriented.
A graduate of the Indonesian Police Academy's Class of 1994 and formerly the Chief of the West Kalimantan Regional Police, Pipit Rismanto also invited religious leaders, traditional leaders, community figures, youth leaders, regional governments, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and all components of society to actively support the program's implementation.
Responding to the initiative, Abah Anton Charliyan praised the new Police Chief's vision and strategic agenda.

As a retired National Police officer and former Chief of the West Java Regional Police, I call upon all elements of society to work together in making the 'Together to Safeguard and Preserve Exceptional West Java' program a success," Abah Anton said.»
He expressed hope that Insp. Gen. Dr. Pipit Rismanto's leadership would further strengthen the partnership between the Indonesian National Police and the public in maintaining security, public order, and supporting sustainable development throughout West Java.
Abah Anton also extended his congratulations to the new West Java Police Chief and his family.

Also attending the event were the Rector of UNLA, retired Inspector General Dr. Kamil Rajak, the Chairman of the West Java Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), representatives of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), KBP3 Polri Chairman Mugi Sujana, West Java BUJP Chairman Rudi, Senkom Polri Chairman Tito, senior officials of the West Java Regional Police, the Deputy Chief of the West Java Police, directors, bureau chiefs, police resort chiefs, city police chiefs, and Bhabinkamtibmas officers from across West Java.
The event concluded in a warm and family-oriented atmosphere, followed by a gathering held at the West Java Regional Police Headquarters.
